What Makes Me, Me.....
My Loved Ones
I met my husband, Tom when I was 17 and we’ve been side by side ever since. I’m a proud mum to my three boys, Callum, Brandon and Ashton, who keep life loud and full. Our home wouldn’t be complete without our two cats, Daisy and Jesse.I am fortunate to have some amazing ladies in my life, my biggest cheerleaders and the most fabulous shopping partners.
My Career
I genuinely love my job, it really is such a privilege to be a part of one of the biggest days of someone's life. I am so passionate about my work, the early mornings, the calm energy, the finishing touches. I can't imagine doing anything else. It's never "just work" to me. Its personal, meaningful and I give it my all.
Exploring the World
I grew up on a farm, so travelling wasn’t something I experienced much when I was younger. Now, I feel like I’m making up for it! I want to see the world, different cultures, coastlines and cities. I love a cruise. It’s the perfect way to explore multiple destinations without the constant packing and unpacking.
How My Story Began....
I started working as a Nail Technician in 2002, This is something I did for a few years whilst working full time for an IT company. In 2005 I was made redundant from the IT company, this meant that I was able to retrain completely.
I have a Diploma in Cosmetic Makeup, a NVQ2 in Providing Make Up Services as well as having had professional training with the brand I use - Mii Cosmetics. In 2009 I qualified in Hairdressing with an NVQ 1 & 2 at Swindon College, later qualifying in Lash lifts and Hair Extensions as a Freelance Hairdresser. I find it extremely important that I keep up to date, therefore i regularly attend courses. I attend at least one trade show a year where i go to seminars and see the latest products and hair tools. I also regularly attend courses; I had the pleasure of attending a course run by Patrick Cameron - Celebrity Hairdresser. I have also worked with Award Winning Hairdressers Tim Hartley and Anne Veck having done makeup for their models. There are so many inspirational stylists and makeup artists in my Industry, I am fortunate to work alongside and network with these talented people.
I am so grateful to have been nominated for, and to have won multiple awards.
